How to Make Delicious Bread with Einkorn Flour ?

Ingredients :

  • 500 g einkorn flour

  • 1 tsp sol

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 tbsp. vinegar (balsamic or plain)

  • 2 eggs (maybe without them)

  • 1 cup yogurt, preferably homemade

  • 1 tsp soda

Method  :

Pour the flour, salt, olive oil, vinegar and both eggs into a large pan. Add a teaspoon of baking soda to the milk bucket and mix well, then add the milk to the pan.

Mix all ingredients with a spoon until a dough is obtained. As it is more sticky, in order to form a suitable rectangular baking tray, it is necessary to sprinkle lightly with the flour on top.

This will form a light film that will allow shaping by hand without becoming whole in the dough. The shaped dough is transferred to a greased rectangular tray with a size of 27 sm.

Bake without rising, in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, about 45 minutes.

To check if the bread is ready, you can use the old method with a toothpick. The bread is pierced with it, and if after removing the stick (or other sharp and thin object) there is no sticky part of the dough, then it is ready.

If desired, you can add 1-2 tablespoons:

  • Pumpkin seed;

  • Flaxseed;

  • White sesame seeds;

  • Millet;

  • other favorite seeds.

The recipe is suitable for people who are trying to give up white bread, but do not find a good enough substitute.
